How to Apply Clear Dry Erase Paint

Clear Whiteboard Paint doesn’t require expert installation. It is a clear dry erase paint that anyone can apply.

Not recommended for white, off-white, beige, or vanilla-colored surfaces.

Here’s a simple guide to help you get a perfect whiteboard finish:

Step 1 – To prepare the surface, fill any cracks or holes with filler, then sand the surface until it’s smooth. Clean off any dust from sanding. Apply your chosen color to the surface. Typically, three coats of colored paint are required for a good, solid color, sometimes more.
Step 2 – Before applying the Clear Whiteboard Paint, ensure you have enough to cover the desired area, and applying clear primer is essential. Avoid trying to stretch the paint, as this can affect its performance.
Step 3 – This paint only requires one coat. Use a roller and go over the surface multiple times to ensure even coverage without missed spots. After painting each section, stop and check to ensure it looks good before moving on.
